iF World Design Guide organizes one of the world’s most celebrated and valued design competitions, the iF Design Awards. iF works to identify, support and promote good design worldwide. After a jury of 58 high-profile international experts evaluated a record 5,300 submissions, just 75 products were carefully selected as Gold Award winners for their 2016 awards.

One of the 75 winners of this prestigious award was HP’s groundbreaking new printer, the PageWide XL 8000 Printer. The PageWide XL 8000 Printer offers the fastest large-format production printing available in color and B&W. With speeds up to 60% faster than the fastest LED printer, users can greatly improve productivity, streamline workflow and reduce costs. Users no longer have to sacrifice color printing to save money because HP’s PageWide XL Printers are able to deliver the same cost-per-page for both color and B&W prints.

This is the second year in a row that HP has been presented with an iF Design ward for its large-format printing technology. They were previously recognized for outstanding product design on their DesignJet T3500.

The iF Jury noted, “The design language of the HP Page Wide XL8000 signals its function as a professional tool. Every element clearly visualizes its function, enabling the user to maximize efficiency. Unlike with similar products, key components like the toner cartridges are not hidden away, but designed as a key visual element, thus enabling the user quick access to this often-replaced component.” The same features recognized by the iF Design Award Jury are included across HP’s line of PageWide XL printers.
