Product Line of the Year is the highest level recognition Buyers Lab awards to an MFP manufacturer. In order to qualify, a manufacturer must have models tested by Buyers Lab in various categories, including A3, A4, monochrome and color. Additionally, for all models tested, the vendor must achieve a high number of Pick Awards. Announced twice a year, the Pick Awards acknowledge the products that gave the best performances in Buyers Lab’s extensive suite of laboratory tests.

The two most recent lines of Sharp Multi-function Color Copiers, the Color Advanced (advanced, fully featured color copier) and Essentials Series copiers (more basic features come standard) have made a major impression on dealers and customers alike since their launch. In December 2015, the first six models were unveiled at a National Sharp Dealer Meeting in San Antonio, sparking excitement from dealers for their single-engine platform, easy-to-use common interface, and common toner supplies across the line. The release of four additional models followed closely, and available output speeds for the series now range from 30-60 pages per minute.

Now Sharp has earned 10 Highly Recommended ratings from Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI). A “Highly Recommended” rating is the highest mark a product can receive from BLI, and one of the most prestigious industry recommendations. Sharp received this rating for all 10 of its Advanced and Essentials color workgroup copiers. George Mikolay, BLI’s Senior Editor for A3 MFPs said of the recommendation, “Sharp’s new Color Advanced and Essentials Series easily earned BLI’s Highly Recommended rating, proving highly reliable throughout our rigorous testing.”

Sharp designed their Color Advanced Series and color Essentials Series copiers with end users in mind, enabling them to easily improve workflow with features like an intuitive touchscreen display with quick-access functions, integrated mobile print technologies, and Sharp’s advanced security features.

With its Pick awards, BLI gives special recognition to those products with the most outstanding performance across its exhaustive lab tests. The Outstanding Achievement awards acknowledge products or capabilities that exhibit attributes such as innovation, usefulness, energy efficiency, reliability and value.

Outstanding 61 to 70ppm A3 Color MFP and Outstanding 71 to 80ppm A3 Color MFP – Sharp MX-6500N & MX-7500N Pro Series

Equipped with the advanced Fiery Server Controller, the Sharp MX-6500N and Sharp MX-7500Nmodels won the Pick for the “Outstanding 61 to 70ppm A3 Color MFP” and “Outstanding 71 to 80ppm A3 Color MFP” categories, respectively. Ideal for demanding print environments, the Pro Series models were noted for their competitive price, high reliability and excellent feature set – including the optional air-feed system and industry-first integration of EFI’s Command WorkStation into its touchscreen display.

Outstanding Entry-level 51 to 60ppm A3 Monochrome MFP – Sharp MX-M564N High-speed Document System

Sharp’s Monochrome MFP models also received top marks. Part of the Sharp Essentials Series, delivering excellent value for busy workgroup environments, the MX-M564N was awarded this Summer Pick for “Outstanding Entry-level 51 to 60ppm A3 Monochrome MFP” category. Designed with cost-conscious customers in mind, the MX-M564N provides full multi-function capability (copy, network print, network scan) at a speed of 56 pages-per-minute.

Outstanding 71 to 80ppm A3 Monochrome MFP – Sharp MX-M754N High-speed Document System

Also recognized was the high-speed Sharp MX-M754N, which was selected as the recipient of the Summer Pick for the “Outstanding 71 to 80ppm A3 Monochrome MFP” category. Designed for large workgroups and departmental environments with demanding workflow requirements, the MX-M754N delivers high productivity and strong versatility along with powerful multitasking workflow features and exceptional image quality at speeds of up to 75 pages-per-minute.

Outstanding Color MFP for Small to Mid-size Workgroups and Outstanding Achievement in Energy Efficiency – Sharp MX-C301W

The MX-C301W color MFP received the Summer Pick for both “Outstanding Color MFP for Small to Mid-size Workgroups” and “Outstanding Achievement in Energy Efficiency.” Offering exceptional color output combined with flexible workflow capabilities, the MX-C301W has a compact footprint that fits in a smaller workspace. BLI also praised the model’s superior energy efficiency with energy consumption rates roughly 51% lower than the competitive average.
